Stayed here in June while travelling for a few days . Catherine was a great host, kept the bar open for me to Have a pint and the breakfast was great too, homemade bread and a good home cooked breakfast . I checked in very late at night but this didn’t matter ! Very friendly and warm stay, I will be back .

We stayed 3 nights at the Covert Tavern while visiting friends in the area. The location was perfect and we enjoyed having a pint in the pub before going to bed. We loved the atmosphere of the pub with the lit fireplace. Our 3 bed - room had a pretty view over Lough Owel and the beds were very comfortable. I recognised them as "Hästens" beds, a great Swedish brand, immediately. Catherine, the owner was very accommodating and served us a lovely breakfast including homemade bread, ham and smoked salmon.

Wow. Such a friendly owner, Catherine. Couldn't do enough for us, country food at it's best. Pints were cold and pulled to perfection. Would highly recommend this spot. Will be back for sure

Stopped by here yesterday and I couldn't believe how nice the woman was to us and our family.very welcoming people Lovely cosy warm fire. A lovely pint of Guinness aswell highly recommended

Clean, comfortable spacious room, recently refurbished, really good value for money, Derek was very helpful and really enjoyed the banter with him and the locals in the bar attached to the accommodation, you really can't beat the personal touch
